We also provide a variety of activities in a creative and stimulating indoor environment. At our center, we understand that children learn best through play. That’s why our mission is focused on developing the “whole child” through playful interaction in the environment. We recognize that each child is unique and develops individually, so our program is centered around learning centers. This encourages active, play-oriented learning that helps children explore themselves, their environment, and others. We design activities that accommodate different levels of ability and learning styles. Our outdoor play area is designed to provide a natural play environment for kids to explore and discover. Indoors, we offer a variety of stimulating and creative activities for children to enjoy. Our goal is to give children the opportunity to learn and grow through play. We believe that this will help them reach their full potential in life and become well-rounded individuals. We strive to create an environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and growth.

Infant

Our infant classroom is based on each child's individual daily needs. The schedule is set for each child as a continuum of their home schedule. Each child's daily schedule consists of multiple diapering, feedings, tummy time, floor time, books, music, and ongoing communication with caregivers. Also, the parents have daily communication with caregivers, informing them of schedule changes, feeding changes, or any information that will aid in the best quality care for their infant. Along with verbal communication, a daily written sheet is sent home at the end of the day.

Toddler

Our toddler classroom is divided into 2 separate classrooms. One being the younger toddlers (ages 18 months-2 years) and the older toddler classroom (age 2-year old's). Each group has their own age-appropriate schedule and curriculum. The toddler daily classroom schedule incorporates a warm welcome from caregivers, circle time (songs, finger plays, stories and learning games), center time, outdoor play, diapering, potty, and creative arts. Each child has an opportunity to experience large group, small group and individual time with caregivers. Communication is key so a daily sheet is sent home each day.

Preschool program

Our preschool program is a Rhode Island Early Learning Standard-based program. The classroom is designed with center areas that allow children choices for play. Centers include math, science, art/writing, blocks, listening, library, dramatic play, and sand/water. The schedule allows children to freely choose center areas, teacher-directed activities, outdoor play, and circle time (calendar, weather, songs, stories).

Pre-K program

Our Pre-K program is for 4/5 year old's and is based on the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards. Our certified Pre-K teacher is instrumental in preparing children for kindergarten. The program is center based which allows children to choose activities based on their interest or recommendation from teachers' observations. The classroom individual center areas consist of: blocks, art/fine motor, writing, math, science, dramatic play, library and listening centers. The children are introduced to the Handwriting without Tears program, which is a developmentally appropriate multi-sensory handwriting instruction. Children also have their own journal books which are part of their overall assessment. Outdoor time is essential and part of their daily schedule.
