On the broad, windswept plains of Oklahoma, where the sky stretches out like a big blue tablecloth, the most adventurous children gather for some spectacularly wild nature activities. These Okie kids, as they're fondly called, have a secret weapon: their guide, an impossibly tall, outrageously funny kangaroo named Kip. Now, Kip isn’t your ordinary kangaroo. For starters, he wears neon orange suspenders and has a laugh like a honking goose! He’s a master of hide-and-seek, a champion of leaf races, and a teller of the tallest tales this side of the Mississippi. You see, Kip jumped all the way from Australia to Oklahoma because he heard the kids there were the most daring nature explorers in the world, and he wanted to join the fun! Together with Kip, these brave young nature enthusiasts of Oklahoma venture into the wilderness. They go from scaling the mighty Arbuckle Mountains, to exploring the mysterious caverns of Alabaster Caverns State Park, and then splashing joyously in the waters of Lake Eufaula. They learn to identify the songs of different birds, track the prints of elusive animals, and even chase after tornadoes – all under the wise and watchful eye of Kip, of course. Oh, the laughter that echoes across the plains as they play their games and go on their adventures! The air in Oklahoma seems to twinkle with their merriment. So, if you ever find yourself in the Sooner State, watch out for a tall kangaroo in neon suspenders. Chances are, there's a whole bunch of Oklahoma kids nearby, ready to share in the fun of exploring the wonders of nature.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
