Known as the Empire State, New York is the crown jewel of America. It is a glittering kingdom of skyscrapers, rivers, forests, and the best bagels this side of the Atlantic. With a population as diverse as a sparkling tray of gemstones, the people here are as unique and vibrant as the place they call home. New York kids, especially, are as bright and shiny as freshly polished gems, each one possessing a special sparkle all their own! Now, in this enchanting realm, there is a unique group of young alchemists, who by using their twinkling imagination transform ordinary beads and wires into extraordinary treasures. These kiddo jewelers are known far and wide for their knack to create dazzling bracelets, radiant necklaces, and twinkling tiaras that would make a rainbow look colorless. Among these children, there's one boy named Benny, a freckled, red-haired kid with a twinkling eye. Known as Benny the Bead Whisperer, he's as quirky as a bent paperclip and as funny as a ticklish feather. Benny has a magical touch, his fingers dance on the strings of pearls and crystals, spinning tales of shimmering beauty. He has an uncanny ability to make the beads giggle, which accounts for the extra sparkle in every piece he creates. He's a pint-sized Picasso of jewels, always ready with a goofy grin, and a knack for turning a handful of beads into a masterpiece. New York is indeed an empire, not just of steel and glass, but of creativity and dreams. And these young jewelers, with their nimble fingers, laughing beads, and limitless imagination, are the true gems of this great state. So, the next time you see a sparkle, remember it might just be a kid from New York, crafting another piece of jewelry magic!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
