About Harbor Haven Day Camp

Harbor Haven is the perfect summer camp program for your child! Through our unique program, we provide children with an educational and social experience that bridges the gap between school years. Our nurturing, camp-like environment ensures that your child is safe and happy, and is given the opportunity to engage in traditional summer activities. We also focus on language, motor, attention, cognitive, social and behavior skills in all of our activities, and provide an instructional social skills program to ensure your child is well-prepared for the world around them. At Harbor Haven, we understand that the capacity to socialize with other children is fundamental for healthy growth and development. That’s why we provide a strong support system for the academic, therapeutic, and social needs described in their IEPs. Our goal is to help your child build confidence and self-esteem, and to prevent academic and skill regression. Bright Beginnings (3-5)

Harbor Haven is especially known for our ages 3-5 programming. "Bright Beginnings", our 3-5 year old division, is uniquely constructed to provide mildy delayed young children with a comprehensive approach that addresses all of their issues. Parents and professionals know that the earlier we work on a child's needs, the more likely he/she will "catch up" with typical peers.

Lower Camp

What a great schedule Lower Camp has! They get to experience everything camp has to offer including swim time, creative arts, sports of all sorts, karate, gymnastics, music, drama, pioneering, bicycle riding/instruction, food fun, computers, photography/media, tennis instruction, inflatables, special events, playground, Junior Clubhouse (the most amazing indoor playroom ever!) social skills group and facilitation, learning center, speech and OT group and entertainment!

Middle Camp

Special feature of Middle Camp programming is Hobbies. Hobbies feature a round of special fun that reflects appropriate age trending hobbies and interests. Middle Campers have swim time, creative arts, athletics, karate, yoga, tennis, music, drama, pioneering, bicycle riding/instruction, food fun, computers, photography/media, inflatables, special events, social skills group, Fun Zone, Challenge Sector, learning center and speech and OT group.
