About D'Arcy School of Irish Dance

At the D'Arcy School of Irish Dance, we provide an opportunity for our students to learn traditional Irish dances and explore the richness of Irish culture. We teach ceilis, solos, and everything in between, from beginners to champions. Our school is a family, with everyone joining together to share their love of Irish culture and dance. At D'Arcy, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels supported. We consider each student to be part of the D'Arcy dance family, and we take pride in seeing how our teachings help our students grow and develop their love for Irish culture. Our school is a place of joy and celebration, where everyone can come together to learn and share in the beauty of Irish dance. We are passionate about helping our students find their own way to express Irish culture through dance, and we are dedicated to providing our students with the best Irish dance experience possible.

D'Arcy School of Irish Dance Class
These 45 minute classes are offered to dancers starting at the age of 4. Dancers in this category will be introduced to Irish Dance. The teacher will review the different types of music by playing fun games to the rhythm and beats of each song. Your dancer will be introduced to the Irish Jig and to the Reel. These are both soft shoe dances. You are not required to buy your beginner dancer the soft shoes (aka Ghillies) the first year, however if you’re interested, please speak to Miss Colleen about how to order a pair. You beginner dancer will also learn the basic techniques of Irish Dancing such as walking on their toes, keeping their hands down by their sides, practicing proper turnout, and most importantly…. Smiling!!! 🙂
