I have been a professional musician for over 40 years, beginning in the 1970s when I performed around the US and Canada. I have been recognized for my various accomplishments by being included in Who's Who in American Women and Who's Who in Education in America, as well as International Who's Who in Music. My educational background includes Wittenberg University, where I studied conducting and orchestration, New York University for humanities, and the Mannes College of Music, where I received my Master of Music in classical performance and theory. During my time in Manhattan, I worked as an annotator, analyst, and critic for major arts agencies, technical journals, and CD labels. In 2010, I decided to move back to Bergen County where I was born and give back to the community by teaching music and the humanities at the college level. I have been able to draw on my extensive experience as a classical touring musician and my graduate library studies at the Juilliard School to inform my teaching. I am proud of the career I have built for myself and am delighted to be able to share my knowledge with the next generation of musicians.
