About Waves of Motion Dance Center

At Waves of Motion, we expect our dancers to work hard, stay committed, and never give up. We want our students to gain confidence in their abilities and trust in their teachers and mentors. With dedication and perseverance, our dancers will become beautiful, strong, and educated all while developing their skills both physically and intellectually. We encourage our students to push through difficult times and use them as learning opportunities to grow. Ultimately, Waves of Motion Dance Center strives to foster an enjoyable and educational experience for our dancers. Our mission is to provide each student with the skills they need to become strong and successful in the future. CREATIVE MOVEMENT (2-3 YRS. OLD)
Creative Movement will stimulate the creativity of each child through dance. This class will pursue the exploration of rhythm concepts, body parts, sing-alongs, storytime, and more. The toddler will learn behavioral skilled used for classroom settings and continue learning social skills with other children.

COMBO 2 (5 YRS. OLD)
This class will focus on the development of Combo 1. The students will learn the basic technique of each genre and its terminology. Storytime, coloring, and dance games will help the exploration of their imaginations. A tap dance will be performed at recital.

MINI MUSICAL THEATRE (4-6 YRS. OLD)
Musical theatre class will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with Broadway-style jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Emphasis will be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions.
