About the dance centre

At The Dance Centre, our faculty is dedicated to helping each of our students reach their highest potential. We strive to create an environment that is both nurturing and supportive, while also pushing our students to excel in their field. We believe that the experience of learning to dance is much more than just mastering the steps, and instead teaches important lessons like perseverance, teamwork, and self-esteem that will carry our students through their lives.

Mommy & Me Age Group: 1.5 yrs. old by Oct. 1st
Description: This is a pre-ballet class for students ages 1.5-3 years old. Students must be 1.5 years old by October 1st to be eligible. This class instructs students, along with the assistance of a parent or guardian, to explore the different rhythms of music, while learning to move their bodies, listen, and follow directions. Students learn movements and motor skills, through both song and dance along with a variety of props to help stimulate their imaginations.

Ballet Classes
Age Group: First Grade and Up Description: We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of ballet classes. These lessons are designed for the student to learn the art of classical ballet. The instructors incorporate elements from the Royal Academy of Dance or RAD curriculum in each of the levels. All classes put an emphasis of the joys of dancing along with good posture, poise, musicality and strong ballet technique.

Lyrical Dance Classes
Age Group: Pre-requisite: 2 consecutive years of Ballet Description: Lyrical dance classes teach a contemporary dance style incorporating ballet and jazz technique. This form of dance allows the students to express their emotions while keeping classical technique.
