At Perpetual Motion Dance Studio (PMDS), we believe in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children ages 3-18 to explore and express themselves through movement and dance. Located in the heart of River Vale, Bergen County, NJ, we offer classes for beginning dancers through pre-professional, and all levels in between. At PMDS, we strive to offer more than a competition-focused studio. Our goal is to foster a sense of confidence, self-discipline, and passion in our young dancers that will stay with them as they grow. We believe that the skills and experiences they gain through dance can have a lasting impact on their future. Ages 3-5 Creative Movement

Introduction to ballet and jazz for preschool dancers. This class is designed for dancers in their first and second years to establish the basics of dance. There is a focus on coordination, positioning, flexibility, and classroom etiquette all while having fun!

BALLET

Ballet is the foundation of all dance and is necessary to develop technique to prevent injury and support proper body alignment and posture for all dance styles. Ballet students will work on body mechanics, grace, posture, poise, flexibility, balance, and strength. This class will improve self discipline and self confidence.

TAP

This musical theater staple is crucial to master and what better time to start than now? Students will be guided through the basics of tempo, rhythm, and counting music. We will learn the foundational steps of Tap and work on short sequences of movement.
