About Mayer's Karate & Fitness

Mayer's Karate & Fitness has been instructing Martial Arts and Personal Fitness training in Northern NJ for the past 35 years. Our "success is measured by the success of every single individual who enters our facility. Thousands of our young Martial Arts students are now living successful lives and achieving the goals which were set together in years past. We have had countless opportunities to lead individual towards healthier life styles through our Personal Training and Ideal Protein Weight Loss Program. Our individual achievements as instructors pale in comparison to being able to transform a struggling child, or an adult struggling with conditioning or health issues. It has been a privilege to have been able to positively touch and improve the lives of hundreds of children who have been diagnosed with moderate to severe developmental issues. Mayer's has been instructing children with special needs for over 10 years. In 2016 we promoted our first 5 students to Black Belt in this program.

Kids - Little Dragons

Our Little Dragons class develops a strong foundation for 4 to 6-year-old students. Generally, young children attend a 1x per week class leaving plenty of addition weekly time for play and other interests. The 1x per week option works well so that the younger children don’t get "burnt out', and their passion for Martial Arts training will continue to expand. Our Little Dragons class focuses on the developmental aspects of early childhood. This is an extremely import time in the development of behaviors, and Mayer's helps to positively develop them all. Listening skills, focus, coordination, playing by the rules, using speech to avoid conflict, goal setting through the achievement of colored belts, a strong work ethic leading to success, and much more. Mayer's Martial Arts in unquestionably the best option for the positive development of your 4 to 6-year-old child.

Kids - Martial Arts

Our Martial Arts program for children between the ages of 6 to 12 is much more than just fighting. Mayer's Karate & Fitness has a 30-year history of hundreds with success stories. In our youth program children have overcome fears, have gained the confidence to succeed, have learned the importance of self-respect, and to respect others and have gained the guidance to Live healthy life styles through the study of Martial Arts. The children who graduate from Mayer's go from successful children to successful and thriving adults. They win in life!

Kids- Leadership Training

Mayer's Karate & Fitness offers a formalized Leadership Training Program unlike any other area Martial Arts School. The goal is to teach our Leadership Team Members the necessary and essential Life Skills to help assure a life-time of success. Monthly seminars include. Leadership subjects are rotated on a monthly basis. Discussions take place the last 15 minutes of a one-hour session one time per week. Students are usually able to benefit from our weekly meetings around the age of 8 years old depending on the maturity level of each student.
