About Camp Nejeda
At Camp Nejeda, we believe in the power of summer camp! Since 1958, we have been providing unique, empowering programs for children with type 1 diabetes and their families. We offer a wide variety of programs, such as 8 weeks of traditional sleep-away camp, Family Camps, Day Camps, Spring and Fall weekend programs, T1D Adult Weekend, and Nurse Education seminars.
Our summer sleep-away camps are designed to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for children living with type 1 diabetes. They will have the opportunity to develop important skills such as self-care and problem-solving while learning to take responsibility for their own health.

Summer Camp
Camp Nejeda's summer sleep-away camp sessions include three one-week sessions and two two-week sessions. Sessions are age-specific and offer all the activities you would expect to find at any sleep-away camp, but the Camp Nejeda experience also provides hands-on learning opportunities for campers to learn how to better manage their diabetes, make healthy food choices, and maintain a good attitude about living with diabetes.
Family Camp
Family Camps are a fun mini-vacation for the whole family and are a great introduction to the Camp Nejeda experience for young children and newly diagnosed children. They also provide a peek into camp life for parents and siblings.
Camp Nejeda's Family Camp Programs recognize that managing diabetes can be challenging for the entire family. Lots of fun, family-friendly camp activities are supplemented with opportunities for parents, kids and siblings to meet and talk with other people who share their unique challenges.
Day Camps
Kids with type 1 diabetes have been calling Camp Nejeda their home away from home since 1958, returning each summer for a fun experience and a chance to just be kids with without having the worries associated with living with type 1 diabetes. Camp Nejeda's Day Camp programs bring the tradition of summer camp fun to you! Campers will enjoy outdoor games, activities, and field trips while under the supervision of our counselors and medical staff.
