At Trail Blazers, we recognize that with the right environment, all youth have the potential to learn, grow, and thrive. We are proud to create a safe space where children of all backgrounds and ages can foster relationships and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world. We have created a wide range of activities and programs that are designed to inspire, engage, and challenge our youth. Through our hands-on outdoor experiences, we strive to empower our participants with the skills and confidence to take on the world. Our programs are tailored to each individual and provide unique opportunities to explore the outdoors, learn about the environment, and build relationships. We provide a platform for youth to develop the courage and commitment to become the next generation of Trail Blazers.

Overnight Camp

Our overnight camp program helps your camper develop an appreciation for nature, a collaborative and self-determined spirit, and the ability to set and reach goals for themselves and with a group. Days are filled with small group adventures driven by a schedule that each group tailors to its interests – as such, no two sessions are ever the same. Every day brings your camper opportunities to develop care and respect for themselves, their friends, our community, and the environment.

Family Camp

Since 1887, Trail Blazers has been a leader in environmental science, experiential education, and outdoor fun. Located on 1000 acres in the Kittatinny Mountains, the natural scenery of Trail Blazers is breathtaking. Forest trails, rangy vistas, and s’mores over the campfire are just a few of the highlights. In addition, Lake Mashipacong sits right in the center of our property. Our site is surrounded by another 25000 acres of protected state forest. A family stay at Trail Blazers is truly getting back to nature.

Day Camp

Our days are filled with hands-on science experiments, group play and group challenges, team building, nature exploration, art, and lots of singing. More than that, each day your camper will develop their ability to care for themselves, their friends, our community, and the environment. Our programs are designed around small group experiences. Campers enroll into the same small group for the full summer. We believe that challenges are essential to a child’s ability to grow and include team building activities each day. Through these activities, campers learn how to work together, how to problem solve, and in turn build more meaningful relationships with one another.
