At Next Step School of Dance, we understand the importance of providing a family-oriented atmosphere. Located conveniently at 800 Schuyler Avenue in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, we offer age-appropriate dance classes for children and fun courses for adults. Our state-of-the-art facility has 4 studios, which allows us to provide limited class sizes, ensuring that each student receives personal care and special attention from the teachers and staff. We make sure that our dancers have the best possible experience by providing a comfortable environment for them. Our facility features viewing windows, a media counter, WiFi, dressing rooms, and a comfortable waiting room. All of our dance rooms are also equipped with sprung dance floors, which protect the knees and feet of dancers of all ages. At Next Step School of Dance, we are proud to be a trusted part of the community. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for our students and their families. We are excited to offer our services and to help our students reach their goals and develop a love of dance.

Baby and Company Ages: 18 Months - 2.5 years old

Baby & Company is an introduction to dance movements using a variety of musical themes and props for dancing fun! An obstacle course is added for agility and coordination. Young dancers will learn the basic steps while learning how to follow direction and imitate movement in a positive environment. Engaging music is used to get these little dancers inspired to dance. The use of props such as hula hoops, maracas, scarfs, and wands, enable the young dancers to use their imagination creativity and most of all, have fun!

Adventures In Dance Ages: 2.5-3.5

Adventures in Dance is a creative movement class, which uses a variety of dance and tumbling techniques to enable the young dancer to develop motor skills, listening skills, strength, agility, timing, and coordination using props. Using different musical themes encourages creative expression.

Blue Ages: 4.5-5.5

This class gives ballet technique, tap technique and basic beginner tumbling techniques. It also introduces what basic beginner Jazz is all about!
