Formally called Denise Daniele Dance Studio, Denise Daniele Dance Center was established in 1973, fulfilling a lifelong dream of Denise Blackstone to share her passion for dance with young students at the Jersey shore. Having received a teaching degree in New York, she was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response from the community when she opened the doors at 780 Burnt Tavern Rd. All through the early years of the new studio Denise continued to take classes in New York, studying with such inspirational teachers as Charles Kelly, Frank Hatchett, Don Farnworth, Germaine Salsberg, Finis Yhung, Celia Marino, and many others. After her marriage, to fellow dancer Richard Blackstone, also from New York, in 1975, both young teachers dedicated themselves to offering the most professional and progressive dance environment possible.
Over the years many top professionals have been brought in to teach at the studio, which had expanded greatly, and many students graduated and went on to careers in the dance field. Each new generation received the most stimulating and inspirational training possible. Continuing to this day with a new owner, Anjelica Roman, herself an alumni of the studio and member of a dance family, raised in the studio for over the last 30 years.

The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.
BALLET
Ballet is a form of dancing which may tell a story, express a mood, or just reflect a piece of music. Beyond beauty and grace, Ballet is known to be the foundation of other dance forms. Students learn traditional techniques as well as develop grace, strength, body awareness, rhythm, concentration, self-discipline, and much more all while having fun and staying active! *Taught at all levels; See our schedule for more details.
MUSICAL THEATER
Musical theater dancing is less of a particular style, and more of a description of dancing that is rooted in the diverse history of Broadway musicals. Relying heavily on a knowledge of ballet, tap, and jazz, musical theater dancers are, first and foremost, actors and place a high focus on musical interpretation. Partner dancing has always been intertwined in musical theater and is becoming more and more prevalent as ballroom dance begins to be the focus of more and more live stage productions.
HIP HOP
This class is the ultimate way to express one’s creativeness in dances that come from the soul. The dances include popping, locking, breaking, and free-styling all of which represent movements that are incorporated with the rhythm and beat of hip hop music. Hip-Hop is not only a good exercise, but helps dancers develop body balance, improve flexibility, and coordinate the muscles. This class allows one to discover and develop their own freestyle ability. *Taught at all levels. See our schedule for more details.
