About Camp Carefree - ADA

ADA Camp Carefree opened its doors in 1976 and since then has provided an unforgettable summer camp experience to over 4,000 campers. Every year, we welcome over 130 children aged 7-16 to our two-week program. During their time with us, we provide diabetes education and support to help them stay motivated and in control of their own care. Our program is made possible by the dedication of our valued staff, who provide supervision and guidance to our campers as they embark on exciting new adventures. With the help of our caring team, our campers are able to challenge themselves, explore and have fun! At ADA Camp Carefree, we strive to create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where campers can develop independence and confidence. Through our diabetes education and exciting activities, we ensure that each camper has a summer to remember.

Campers will explore the beautiful landscape of Lions Camp Pride, an American Camp Association accredited camp. This woodland setting is a wonderful place to commune with nature on/near Merrymeeting Lake where campers will enjoy the magic of camp and its many fun activities.
