About Team Link Hooksett of NH

At Tokyo Joe’s Studios of Self Defense in Hooksett, NH, we are proud to offer programs in multiple disciplines, including Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts. Founded by Edward Carr in 2000, we have grown to become a premier Martial Arts School in New England. Our kids, teens, and adult Karate program has a lineage rooted in Shaolin Kempo Karate and is operated under the Tokyo Joe’s System of Self Defense. Meanwhile, our MMA program began under the guidance of UFC Hall of Fame legend Pat Miletich, operating under the Miletich Fighting Systems banner. Since 2011, our BJJ and MMA program is now proud to be a part of the New England powerhouse, Team Link, owned by 3rd Degree BJJ Black Belt Marco Alvan. At Tokyo Joe’s Studios of Self Defense, we offer a range of martial arts for kids, teens, and adults. Our instructors are passionate about helping students reach their potential in martial arts. With a variety of disciplines to choose from, we are confident that we have something for everyone. Our classes are designed to provide an environment where our students can learn the basics of self-defense, have fun, and make progress in their martial arts journey.

Lil Dragons
The core curriculum for our youth program includes hi-energy drills and skills designed to build and condition each child’s attitude, behavior and overall character development. Our dynamic, high-energy kid’s karate classes help children build strength, stamina, and flexibility, as well as develop their body, mind and character.

BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU
The Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program at Team Link NH is a great way for children to learn self defense, stay fit and build character. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that teaches ground self-defense and takedowns. It is based on using leverage, body mechanics and submissions. It does not teach striking like most other disciplines.

KICKBOXING
Our Youth Kickboxing program is a combination of kickboxing, muay thai, and karate, designed to offer fun and challenging classes that build courage, confidence, and character. This class teaches students punches, kicks, knees, elbows, defensive movement, stance and footwork.
