You'll recognize him by his mechanical moustache, gear-shaped glasses, and a hat that spins faster than a tornado when he gets excited. Which is often, because Newton is always on some wacky science adventure with his army of clever New Hampshire whiz-kids. Whether they're designing dainty drones to deliver donuts or building bio-luminescent unicorns that light up in the dark, these kids are always knee-deep in some crazy STEM/STEAM project. Newton and his gang believe in learning by doing. And oh boy, do they do a lot! They've built everything, from AI-choreographed musicals to robot chefs that can whip up a mean mac 'n' cheese! But it's not always gears and gizmos. Sometimes, they dive into the amazing world of numbers and patterns, cracking codes that even the smartest adults can't. Other times, they're exploring the wonders of biology, turning their backyards into magical jungles of strange and fascinating creatures. With Newton Nuttybot and the New Hampshire kids, science, technology, engineering, arts, and math aren't just school subjects. They're tickets to a world of fun, adventure, and endless imagination! Camp Med-o-lark is an all genders arts sleep away camp in Washington, Maine for children ages 7–16, set on the shores of a pristine lake. Med-o-lark offers a fully elective program, allowing campers to design their own schedules from a wide range of activities including performing arts, fine arts, sports, circus, waterfront, and more. Each summer, Med-o-larkers come together to build a kind, creative community where everyone has the opportunity to discover, grow, create, learn, and shine. With a strong emphasis on the arts, Med-o-lark offers one of the most extensive programs in dance, fine arts, handcrafts, and theater of any camp in New England.
For fifty-four years, the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center has been a source of education and enlightenment for visitors of all ages. Not only does it feature spectacular live animal exhibits, natural science education programs, and guided Squam Lake Cruises, but also an informal public garden and even the Blue Heron School which is a nature-based Montessori early learning center. But in order to accommodate the recent pandemic restrictions, the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center has had to make some changes. Most recently, the Richard and Jean Lovett Raptor Exhibit opened with new enclosures, interactive exhibits, and interpretation about raptors. The live animal exhibit trail opened on May 1 with capacity limits, timed-entry tickets, outdoor retail operations, and increased cleaning in place. Despite the recent changes, the Science Center is still certified as Sensory Inclusive by KultureCity, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beautiful natural world around them.
