Wonder Years Learning Center

Wonder Years customizes the infant program 100% to the parent and child’s needs and wants. We will continue the same loving caring environment you create for your child at home. You will instruct our teachers of your desires for an eating and sleeping routine, and we will ensure they are executed. We communicate with you using our Daily Sheets. Each day you will have a full debriefing of your child’s day, including when they slept, what and when they ate, when they were changed and what activities they may have been involved in. Our ratio is 4 babies to every teacher in the room. In addition to this ratio we have a “floater teacher” available for any additional times during the day when an extra set of hands is needed. We believe that from the moment of birth learning begins. Our infant program provides a wonderful variety of experiences for your baby: A safe comforting environment, individual loving attention and play activities that help your baby explore, discover and learn.

Wonder Years offers three Toddler rooms to serve the specific needs of a growing Toddler. The young Toddlers will transition slowly into the routine of the program. If additional nap time is needed they can conveniently work with the Infant room to achieve their nap time. The Toddler program is designed to introduce your child to a daily routine of playing and sharing with their friends, arts and crafts activities, sensory activities, music and gross motor activities, and outdoor play time. In our interactive setting beginning friendships are established and nurtured. Daily communication is achieved using our Daily Sheets. At the end of each day you will know when your child ate, slept, had their diaper changed and any activities they accomplished throughout the day. Our Toddler ratio for one year olds is 5 children for every teacher, and for two year olds the ratio is 6 children for every teacher in the room. Your child will stay in the toddler program until the age of 3.

Wonder Years is committed to providing quality care with a strong emphasis on curriculum. We introduce your child to their first curriculum in our preschool rooms. We offer two preschool classrooms to make sure that our preschoolers are introduced to the program at the pace that is right for them. All children are encouraged to strive to the best of their abilities. The nurturing of self esteem and strong social skills increases children’s readiness to take the next step in the learning process. The preschool program will challenge your child each day with story time, language, math, writing and reading, along with a full compliment of arts and crafts, music, and gross motor activities. Each week our teachers will post their curriculum to share with the parents. You will know what songs they are singing, what books they are reading, and every challenge they will be faced with. We feel this will help you continue the education process at home. At your request, we will work with your child’s potty training with our child size toilets. We have no restrictions of classroom advancement based on potty training. When they are ready, we will be too. Our preschool ratio for three year olds is 8 children for every teacher, and for four year olds the ratio is 12 children for every teacher in the room.

Wonder Years is incredibly proud of the success we have had with our Kindergarten program. We feel that first grade preparation is a task that takes great teachers and a commitment to challenging the children on a daily basis. We feel the full day kindergarten program prepares the child for the challenges of the full day of the first grade. Our program focuses on language, math, science and social studies preparation. Our curriculum will challenge the students each day with new and exciting activities. We have had numerous first grade parents come back to let us know how well prepared the Wonder Years children are at the next level. The curriculum is posted on a weekly basis to share with the parents. You will know what books they are reading, what songs they are singing and what challenges they are facing on a daily basis. Optional “homework” is offered for parents who want activities that they can work on with their children at home. Our entertaining “graduation” show is an annual treat that really proves how much our students have grown. Every year the show is crowd favorite. Our Kindergarten Program includes: A language rich environment that expands your child’s vocabulary and verbal skills. We follow the “Building Blocks” Language Program. Hands on Science and Math activities that encourage further discovery and exploration. Our Kindergarten classes follow the “Everyday Math” Program. Art and Music activities that expand their creativity. Language arts that develop a beginning love of reading. Social Skills that will help your child interact positively with others. Our kindergarten classroom has a ratio of 15 students to 1 teacher in the room.
