But let me tell you, oh fearless reader, Nebraska is not all corn and cows - there's a dance revolution brewing here that can shake even the tallest ear of corn! Enter the boogie bunch - a groovy group of kids who eat, sleep, and breathe dance. They have transformed the barnyards into dance studios, practicing their twirls against the backdrop of orange-streaked sunsets. Their leader, Tappy Tommy, a sprightly kid with twinkling eyes and a smile as wide as the Platte River, wears his tap shoes everywhere he goes, even to bed! He believes that you never know when a dance challenge may pop up and one always needs to be prepared. Each day, Tappy Tommy and his fleet-footed friends gather at a secret location which could be anywhere from Aunt Millie's apple orchard to the town's fire station. Wearing their overalls, they tap, twirl, and twist to the rhythm of the rustling cornfields. Their laughter is louder than the hooting owls, and their energy could outrun the friskiest prairie dogs. Let me tell you, dear reader, these kids are not just dancing the dance, but they are living it. In Nebraska, amidst the cornfields and cows, these kids are not only harvesting corn but are also harvesting dreams, one dance step at a time. Even the grumpy old scarecrow now tap dances to their rhythm!

Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
