Deep in the heartland of the United States, in the rolling cornfields and bustling cities of Nebraska, a special group of kids with a passion for running and jumping are blazing a trail. These are the Nebraska Track and Field Kids, champions of the Cornhusker State, known for their speed, strength, and agility. They're not just ordinary kids, oh no, they're lightning-fast cheetahs and powerful kangaroos in sneakers and short shorts. Every day, as the sun rises over the vast prairies and the robin sings its morning song, they tie up their running shoes, tuck in their favorite lucky socks, and dash out to meet the day. They sprint through Omaha, hurdle in Lincoln, throw discus in Kearney, and pole vault in North Platte. Their motto is simple, "We don't walk in Nebraska, we run!" Now, our story centers around a particularly zany character, known as Tumbleweed Todd. Todd was not your average Nebraskan kid. For one, he had an unruly mop of hair that looked suspiciously like a tumbleweed. And secondly, he was as swift as a pronghorn and as springy as a Jackrabbit. Todd could turn any daily chore into a track and field event. Need to get the mail from the mailbox? Todd pole-vaults over the fence. Out of milk? Todd sprints to the grocery store in record time. Tumbleweed Todd and his Nebraska Track and Field team bring laughter and fun to the state, running faster, jumping higher, and throwing farther than anyone could imagine. And they prove every day that in Nebraska, the spirit of track and field is not just a sport, it’s a way of life.
