About Blue Star Camps

At Blue Star, we believe in creating a camp experience that is just right for each camper. Our six developmentally suited camp programs for boys and girls ages six to sixteen provide an array of activities tailored to the specific interests and abilities of each camper. These programs also feature exceptional leadership and counseling staff to ensure campers are having a safe and enriching experience. Blue Star is a caring and inclusive Jewish camp community and our campers have the opportunity to immerse themselves in camp life. Through our activities and programs, campers develop independence, self-esteem, and lasting friendships. At Blue Star, we recognize the importance of these formative years and strive to capture the attention of young people during this time when they are most open-hearted and likely to appreciate the power of friendship and self-discovery. At Blue Star, we create a unique summer camp experience that allows campers to make memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. PIONEER BOYS
Pioneer Boys gain confidence and independence through skill attainment in more in-depth electives like outdoor adventure, creative arts, and athletic options. Instructional and free swimming are also part of the daily schedule. The essence of camp for Pioneer boys is team spirit. Enthusiastic, energetic counselors help make camp an exciting adventure while ensuring that each camper feels valued and is part of the team.

ROOKIES & JUNIORS
The Juniors and Rookies program is designed to give campers a warm welcome to the Blue Star family, with Junior campers attending for a full camp session and Rookies attending for either a one or two-week introductory camp experience. Through participating in athletics, arts, and adventure electives that rotate daily, Juniors and Rookies get introduced to all of the exciting activities Blue Star has to offer. Daily instructional and free swim and cabin time round out the Junior and Rookie campers’ day. Our Junior and Rookie Camps’ counselors are carefully selected and trained to provide a supportive, positive, and fun camp experience. The Junior and Rookie Programs provide just the right mix of nurture and adventure for our youngest campers.

PIONEER GIRLS
Pioneer Girls are ready to build lasting friendships and enjoy all of the activities Blue Star has to offer. They develop skills, interests, and self-confidence through participation in a wide range of creative arts, sports, and outdoor adventure electives, in addition to daily instructional and free swim. In our Pioneer Girls program, friendship, community and spirit are at the heart of each day. Counselors in this camp create a caring, friendly cabin dynamic that is both inclusive and fun.
