At the Lake Norman Youth Orchestra (“LKNYO”) we believe in Dr. Jose Antonio Abreu’s ideal that music is for everyone, and especially for children. We strive to provide cultural enrichment, music instruction, and performance opportunities to our community’s youth. Our program offers sectional instruction from qualified music instructors and group rehearsals to equip our members with the skills needed to excel. Open to all area youth ages 6 - 18 with two or more years of music experience, the LKNYO is the perfect place to foster your child’s love of music. The LKNYO’s program is designed to supplement school and/or private instruction, with weekly rehearsals and community performances. We are passionate about helping young musicians develop their abilities and grow in their love of music, with the help of experienced instructors and group guidance. At the LKNYO, members will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere. The LKNYO is the perfect place for children to explore and experience the joy of music. We believe in the power of music to bring together a community, and to enrich young lives.
