About DancinKids

At the helm of DancinKids is Tracy Self, a dancing veteran of over two decades. She began teaching at the tender age of 17, and has since become an expert in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern/contemporary, and hip-hop. Tracy is also a 2009 graduate of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte with a BS in Psychology/Biology and has also attended Governer's School for Dance as well as several workshops/conventions including Tremaine. DancinKids is a friendly place that caters to all levels of dancers. We offer recreational classes in a comfortable and relaxed environment for those looking to learn the basics of dance. We also have a competition program for the more serious dancer. We promise to provide a fun and supportive atmosphere for all members of the dancing family. Tracy is excited to welcome you to DancinKids. She is confident that you will find a class that meets your needs and that you will enjoy the friendly atmosphere. DancinTots
DancinTots These 2 and 3-year-old kids are nearly ready to dance on their own. They may still need the reassurance of having a parent with them or a little extra encouragement. We will focus on more advanced motor skills and developmental skills. They will learn to follow a line leader and wait their turn, all while having fun dancing and playing together! Parent participation is optional. You may remain in the room simply to observe if you wish.

Ballet
Ballet We will focus on building a great foundation for all dance disciplines in our Ballet class. Ballet is the basis for all other forms of dance forms. We will do this by providing continuously challenging ballet technique and terminology.

Ballet /Tap Our Ballet and Tap combination classes offer both forms in one class. We teach correct body placement and terminology based on age and ability.
