    About Charlotte Ballet in Charlotte, NC

    Charlotte Ballet is a professional contemporary ballet company that is renowned for its talented dancers and diverse repertoire. With 28 professional dancers, the company performs six series of shows in Charlotte from October to May. They also work with international choreographers to create new pieces to share with Charlotte and the world. The company has a strong connection to the arts, with former New York City Ballet dancer Patricia McBride serving as master teacher for Charlotte Ballet Academy. This academy provides instruction to around 1,000 students each year. In 2014, Patricia McBride was honored with a Kennedy Center Honor for her commitment to the arts.
