    About Caroline Calouche & Co. in Charlotte, NC

    We are more than just a school. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring people of diverse backgrounds to explore beyond their boundaries through dance and circus arts. Our vision is to create educational opportunities for people to experience the world, which will enrich their lives and the lives of those around them. The Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center offers something for everyone! Our pre-professional and recreational classes are designed to inspire and challenge students of all ages and backgrounds, from beginners to advanced. We provide a safe and supportive environment for learning, and our instructors are highly experienced professionals. We are committed to helping our students reach their full potential and inspiring them to explore the world through dance and circus arts.

    Circus & Dance Summer Creation Lab

    The Summer Circus & Dance Creation Lab is a two-week program that culminates in a performance. Students will choose their technique classes in dance and circus arts such as contemporary dance, jazz, hip-hop, aerial silks, trapeze, lyra, juggling, and acrobatics.

    Classes for Ages 4 - 6

    This class for young movers will inspire creativity and curiosity as students explore the arts of circus and dance. Students will be introduced to fundamental contemporary dance, juggling, acrobatics, movement creation and more.

    Classes for Ages 7 - 10

    Learn the fundamentals dance. with a Breakdancing focus. This class will include basic dance technique and proper body alignment as well as allowing students to explore and understand how their own bodies move. Students will develop body control as well as freedom of movement. This class is a great companion to Aerial Dance or any other apparatus class.

    Classes for Ages 16+

    This class will cater directly to the aerial level of the students within the class. Students will engage in proper warm-up and stretch before training either on a sling or silk apparatus. Instructors will teach skills and exercises based on current skill level.
