About Triangle Academy of Dance

Our teachers are highly qualified to provide the highest quality of instruction. We strive to maintain a warm and nurturing environment so each individual student can reach their fullest potential. We provide a comprehensive and balanced program of ballet technique, pointe work, strength and flexibility training, and performance opportunities. Our classes are designed to help our students develop a strong technical foundation, while instilling a lifelong appreciation of the art of dance.

Pre-school Dance
Our unique Dance Magic classes are designed for 3-4 year old girls and boys and are structured with ballet steps, dance games and ballet stories. Children learn the early basics of ballet, including the positions of the arms and feet, as well as steps to help develop coordination and gross motor skills, such as skipping, hopping, galloping, leaping, etc. Classes are very fun and creative and end with dress-up, a fairy tale and expressive free dance.

Kinder Ballet
Kinder Ballet classes expand upon the creative movement experience from our Dance Magic program. Students learn beginner ballet steps, plus receive an introduction to tap or jazz to add extra fun to the class, as well as help develop rhythm, coordination and musicality. Classes are creative, fun, energetic and perfect for the developing mind and body of a 4-5 year old.

Ballet I-VI
Students progress from basic ballet fundamentals, good posture and correct alignment to dancers that begin pre-pointe work and more complex center combinations. For more advanced, center work includes pirouettes, chaine turns and a wide variety of ballet step. Ballet IV-VI meets twice per week, with extended class times. Ballet V and higher are encouraged to audition for TAD's affiliate ballet company for performing experience. Senior program dancers meet five days week.
