About Camp Carolina in Brevard, NC
Camp Carolina is more than just a typical summer camp. Our campers are eager to explore the world around them, and we provide them an opportunity to do so in a safe and supportive environment. Our campers learn to appreciate nature and gain self-confidence as they venture off on outdoor adventures. We offer a wide array of activities such as rock climbing, river rafting, and hiking, allowing campers to discover the beauty of the natural world. With our experienced staff members and carefully crafted activities, Camp Carolina is the ultimate summer paradise for boys.

Programs at Camp Carolina in Brevard, NC
BeAKid
MUDPUPPIES
The Mudpuppies, like all our tribes, they are named after local water lizards. Also known as the 'Pups', this tribe will be all the completed 4th grade campers. All Pup cabins have 2 staff members with 6 or fewer boys. Campers will be located in Pup Valley, located in the center of camp. There is a head counselor in every tribe who is responsible for those boys and their counselors. They get a chance to visit with older or younger boys during free time, some evening programs, and weekend games

WATERDOGS
Our "Dogs" Tribe are usually boys who have completed 4th and 5th grade and live in Dog Valley in the center of camp. We always have 2 counselors living in their cabins. The Dogs tribe can sign up for any activity, however only completed 5th-grade campers only can sign up for Paintball, Surfing, and Wake Boarding. They live in 'Dog Valley' in the centre of camp next to the Infirmary.

SALAMANDERS
The "Manders" Tribe are usually boys who have completed 6th grade and live up on "Mander Hill". They have 1 counselor in their cabin. Boys in this tribe have no activity restrictions and can now sign up for Surfing, Paintball and Wake Boarding.
BeAKid
NEWTS
Our Newts Tribe are the youngest campers and are usually in grades K thru completed 3rd. They live in the cabins closest to the Dining Hall and always have 2 counselors living in their cabins. Newts can sign up for any activity like every other tribe, except for Paintball, Surfing and Wake Boarding.
