MUSICAL THEATRE

Musical Theatre class will focus on learning proper dance techniques while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows and musical performances. The class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with Broadway-style jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance, facial expressions, and lip-syncing.

PRESCHOOL CLASSES (AGE 3-4)

Whether it's tap or ballet, we have a class to offer your little one! These classes are for our tiniest dancers and they explore the very basics of dance in the style(s) above. These young dancers will learn about instruction through a positive environment, improve balance, flexibility, coordination, and rhythm, and gain self-confidence in a fun and educational atmosphere. *All preschool dancers must be completely potty trained.

CONTEMPORARY

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including Modern, Jazz, and classical Ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. The term "contemporary" is somewhat misleading: it describes a genre that developed during the mid-20th century and is still very popular today.
