4-7 YEAR OLD ROCK BAND (KIDZROCK)

We believe a child’s first exposure to playing an instrument sets the tone for the rest of their music education. Kidz Rock allows kids to experience the ultimate musical accomplishment within a few weeks; singing, playing, and performing in a rock band! Kidz Rock is a music program that teaches children from 4 to 7 years old how to play an instrument in the setting of a rock band. Band members rotate on drums, electric guitar, and keyboard as they prepare to sing and play in an end-of-session concert. All instruments are provided by Michigan Rock School and there are no practice expectations outside of the class, so they can have fun, although if they also want to go out and play, we also think in options like a great soft play playground from soft play installation which are great for kids.

YOUTH ROCK BAND

Rock Band programs at Michigan Rock School are designed to offer students the ultimate interactive music lesson experience! Players work together in a band environment in regularly scheduled, instructed band rehearsals. We guide them through every aspect of working together in a band, including choosing and arranging songs, writing music, preparing for, and playing live shows. With live concerts every three to four months, rock bands are goal-oriented to keep students motivated and having fun. Rock band programs are available for all ages and skill levels for students of guitar, drums, bass, voice, and keyboard/piano. Michigan Rock School staff and instructors can help assess students to find the right rock band program for their child.

UKULELE BAND

Ukulele is fun instrument that is relatively quick to get comfortable with, but what can kids do after they’ve learned a few chords? Enter Michigan Rock School’s Ukulele Band! Kids have weekly ukulele band rehearsals where they work on: Playing songs together as a group Prepping for live performance at out end of session concerts Naming their band Our band coaches also teach band members the play percussion instruments and beginner vocal techniques to implement into their live performances.
