Kids love his hearty laugh which sounds like ‘HO-HO-SPLASH!’ Captain Bubblebeard, with his magical fishing rod, teaches them all the tricks of fishing, whether it's how to bait a worm or cast a line without hooking your own nose! Besides, Captain Bubblebeard has a magical fish-finding radar in his bubble-filled hat, which helps them find the best fishing spots. Sometimes, the fish jump right onto the hook when they see Captain Bubblebeard, because they love his fun-filled fishing lessons too! So, if you visit Michigan, don't be surprised if you see a bunch of cheerful kids fishing, with a bubble-bearded man, giggling and munching chips. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats.
