In the enchanting, hearty state of Michigan, where the Grand River flows like a silvery ribbon and the Great Lakes twinkle like sapphires, there exists a group of extraordinary kids who delve into books with the same enthusiasm as a squirrel with a newly discovered acorn. They're known as the Mitten State Bookworms, each with a voracious appetite for tales spun from the looms of imagination. Our story begins with the most charming Bookworm, Squiggles. Squiggles, a plump, friendly dragon with spectacles perched precariously on his snout, is a bonafide bibliophile. With his magical, illuminated scales, he could transform each reading session into a mesmerizing spectacle. When he’d read, his scales would shimmer and sparkle, creating a magical glow that danced around the room, painting the walls with stories. These Michigan kids, like Squiggles, are no ordinary children. They are daring explorers, navigating through the jungles of Jumanji, aspiring wizards casting spells with Harry Potter, and brave hobbits journeying through Middle Earth, all within the comfy confines of their beloved local library or their secret reading nooks at home. Despite having the ability to breathe fire, Squiggles never, ever used it. Why, you ask? Well, he found it far more exciting to ignite the fire of imagination in the young readers' minds. His hilarious mimicry of characters was so infectious that even the grumpiest of grandpas couldn’t help but chuckle. And so, in the magnificent land of Michigan, the Mitten State Bookworms, led by Squiggles, would cheerfully dive headfirst into the deliciously inviting world of books, savoring the flavor of each adventurous sentence, every suspense-filled chapter, transforming their world into a kaleidoscope of stories.
