In the whimsical land of ME, known as Maine to you and me, nestled between the dancing blue waves of the Atlantic Ocean and the enchanting whispering forests, there was a merry cluster of children who loved to take part in religious service activities. Each Sunday, you could see them, like a rainbow parade of joy, bubbling with energy and excitement, heading towards the charming old church in the heart of their town. Amongst these children, there was one unique character, a sparkling burst of laughter, named Marvelous Mo. Imagine a cross between a stand-up comedian and an amiable squirrel, and that would describe Mo. He was not your ordinary kid. Mo had a knack for turning every activity into a fun-filled adventure, even the religious services. Mo's highly contagious enthusiasm was like an infectious giggle; you couldn't help but catch it! Mo would often turn the Bible readings into epic tales of knights and dragons, filling the sermons with funny voices and amusing sound effects. His creative storytelling made the activities more enjoyable for everyone. The stories of Noah, Moses, and Jesus came alive as if they were an animated movie playing right in front of them. Even when they were singing hymns, you could always count on Mo to jazz up the tune. Picture the old-timey hymn, 'Amazing Grace,' belted out in the style of a circus ringmaster! That was our Marvelous Mo! In the magical world of ME, a place where religious services were a riot of fun, laughter, song and dance, Mo and his friends found a deeper connection with their faith. The spirit of joy, unity, and love was always alive, creating a daily dose of happy and holy hilarity!

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.

Chop Point is a non-profit Christian organization that operates multiple ministries around the world. We offer a summer camp in Maine for teenagers from all over the world, a K-12 school in Maine for local students, including a small boarding program, as well as a summer camp in Nicaragua serving disadvantaged children and functioning as a social service project for school and church groups from the U.S. To make our programs as accessible as possible, we rely on outside donations from former campers, students, staff, and friends. Their support has been essential in making major improvements to the grounds, facilities, and equipment. We encourage you to come and experience Chop Point for yourself. We welcome visitors any time and are always happy to show off the amazing work that we do here. Fees are kept as affordable as possible, so anyone can join in the fun.
