Once upon a time, in the far-off land of Maine, tucked away in the northeastern corner of a kingdom called the United States, there lived a wonderful bunch of children. Maine, a magical place of towering pine forests, twinkling star-lit skies, majestic moose, and giant lobsters that could tickle your toes if you weren't careful. It had bewitching blueberries as big as buttons, and during winter, the entire land transformed into a shimmering snow globe. Now, these children were no ordinary children, for they were the Sensory Play kids. They had a friend, a funny and friendly moose named Marvin, who was as tall as the pine trees and had a heart as warm as a Maine blueberry pie. He was magical for he could talk, and his antlers glowed in the dark! Marvin had a special power- he could make the ordinary seem extraordinary. A leaf was not just a leaf, a rock was not just a rock. Everything around them was a new opportunity to play, explore and learn. These kids and Marvin loved to squelch their toes in gooey mud, or let the ticklish sand run through their fingers. They loved to listen to the whispers of the wind and smell the salty sea. Each day with Marvin was a new adventure, a cornucopia of sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touches. They loved nothing more than exploring the world in their magical, sensory way, and every day was a riot of laughter, of learning, and most importantly, of love. And so, in this enchanting land of Maine, the Sensory Play kids and Marvin the Moose shared endless joyous days, filled with the marvel of sensory play.

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
