About Wohelo Luther Gulick Camps
At Wohelo, campers learn that it’s not just what you do, but how you do it. Through activities that build character, campers learn the values of cooperation, teamwork, and respecting differences. In a caring and stimulating environment, campers develop self confidence, responsibility for themselves and others, and a kindly spirit. These are life lessons that will last a lifetime and create lasting bonds with friends made at Wohelo.
Programs
The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.
Sailing
Sailing is popular at both camps. Little Wohelo uses RS Zest and Sprite sailboats launched off the beach in the protected waters. The boats will fit campers and a counselor or can be sailed by campers alone. Little Wohelo also has an Opti and a 13 foot Hobie wave catamaran for groups of campers to cruise around on. Sailing is incorporated into the awards system for all campers to enjoy.
Canoeing & Kayaking
Wohelo is the perfect place to learn to canoe. A skill you will have for the rest of your life.
The equipment at Little Wohelo is appropriately sized for our younger campers. Our ever growing fleet of Red kayaks is popular at both camps for learning and just cruising around.
Music
We encourage campers at both camps to bring their own instruments (we have pianos!) and play for us in the evenings. Chorus is an optional activity offered for girls who would like to sing at our Sunday morning gatherings.
