Once upon a time, there was a magical land called Maine, or as locals loved to say, "ME". It was a kingdom filled with luscious forests as green as broccoli, sparkling rivers as blue as blueberry muffins, and snow-topped mountains as fluffy as marshmallows. The lobsters here could sing, the moose could bake pies, and the bears loved to knit scarves. Now, in this extraordinary kingdom of Maine, there lived a wacky bunch of kids who loved to participate in something called Ceramics activity. They'd gather around in a room full of colors, with a spinning wheel in the middle, and clay that came to life, named Claybert. Claybert was no ordinary lump of clay; he was the coolest, squishiest, and most charismatic chunk of clay you’d ever meet! Every day, the kids would gather around Claybert, who would teach them how to mold him into all sorts of whimsical objects. Bowls with eyes, cups with tails, plates with wings, and teapots that could talk back. You see, in Maine, ceramics wasn't just about making pottery; it was about creating magical, absurd, and even hilarious objects that you couldn’t find anywhere else in the world. These children, with their paint-splattered aprons and glowing smiles, loved to get their hands dirty. They giggled as Claybert tickled their palms, turning from a shapeless lump to a laughing teapot. Their laughter echoed through the mountains, bringing joy to the entire kingdom of Maine. It didn't matter if the pot had three handles or the mug had mismatched eyes; every creation was a masterpiece because it was made with joy, laughter, and a whole lot of magic.

Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.
