About Gigueres Dance

The Giguere family opened their business in 1973 and have been providing the area with top quality gymnastics and dance programs ever since. Joan Sherry is the director of the program and has been running it for many years, leading it to national recognition due to the successful athletes it has produced. Gigueres is dedicated to creating an environment where children can develop in all areas of their lives while having fun and challenging themselves. They strive to foster an atmosphere of respect and safety in which children can grow and have fun.

Tiny Ballerina (ages 2-3)
The 30 minute class focuses on improving gross motor skills, working with other children, following directions, body awareness and musicality all while using props and having fun!

Kinderdance (ages 5-6)
Dancers will start with ballet utilizing the ballet barre and expanding their knowledge working on terminology and basic ballet positions and steps across the floor. Dancers will also have beginner tap dancing and more advanced coordination skills as well as sound combinations.

Foundations Classes
Level 1 (ages 7-10) Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop. Level 2 (ages 9-12) Ballet, Jazz, Tap Contemporary & Hip Hop. Level 3 (ages 13+) Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary & Hip Hop. All foundations classes are built to work with the dancers and the skills that they have. Classes range in length to be sure that each class is productive. Students will build their skills throughout the year and will be able to return with stronger knowledge of skills, terms and classroom etiquette.
