About Camp Kinneywood Worcester

At Girls Inc., we believe that giving girls the opportunity to grow and thrive is essential. That’s why our programs provide girls with the six essential elements of the Girls Inc. Experience: mentoring relationships, intentional programs, a girl-only environment, sustained exposure, interactive activities, and research-based curricula. Through these elements, girls are encouraged to take risks, build confidence, and overcome physical, intellectual, and emotional challenges. With a focus on STEM education and topics like pregnancy, violence, drug abuse prevention, media and economic literacy, health and fitness, and sports participation, our programs are designed to foster personal growth and development. Our facilitators are specially trained to promote gender equality and create an environment that encourages participation and long-term relationships with staff and peers. Girls Inc. is committed to helping girls reach their full potential and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.

After School Drop-In Program
Join us every day after school for fun, affordable, and educational programs! Girls are given the tools, opportunities, and encouragement to grow in a girls-only environment. Age-appropriate groups will explore fun activities with new friends, such as swimming, dance, theater, STEM, literacy, nutrition, and fitness activities.

Summer Camp
Each summer, girls ages 5 through 12 enjoy time at both our center, 125 Providence Street, and our seasonal campground, Camp Kinneywood, just a short ride down the road on the Girls Inc. bus. Enjoy your summer at Girls Inc. of Worcester! Activities include swimming, kayaking, crafts, hiking, STEM activities and so much more! Make this summer memorable! Summer Camp runs from June 27, 2022 - to August 19, 2022.

Girls Promoting Safety (GPS) Program
GPS is a strengths-based violence prevention program of Girls Inc. of Worcester and the YWCA of Central Massachusetts. Through intensive, interactive, weekly, school-based sessions, the GPS program helps girls in grades 7 and 8 to develop skills and competencies to avoid and/or prevent their involvement with violence. This allows girls to create and maintain a lifetime of healthy relationships.
