Woburn Little League is dedicated to helping kids experience the joy of playing sports. As part of this mission, Woburn Little League has created a Parent Code of Conduct to ensure that all parents have a positive experience in supporting their child in sports. Parents are encouraged to read, understand and sign this form prior to their children participating in our league. In order to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all, any parent found to be in violation of the Parent Code of Conduct will be asked to leave the facility and be suspended from the following game. Repeat violations may cause a multiple game suspension, or the season forfeiture of the privilege of attending all games. Woburn Little League takes the standards of conduct for parents very seriously. We understand that parents are a vital part of their child’s sports experience and we are committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for all. By signing and adhering to the Parent Code of Conduct, parents are helping to ensure that all children have a positive experience in our league.

AAA BASEBALL

Ages 7 & 8 Woburn Little League's second level of baseball is the AAA Division. Similar to Tee Ball, coaching instruction is provided by parent volunteers. At this level, coaches introduce pitching and catching, as well as defensive strategy. The main focus continues to be on fundamentals in a safe and team-oriented environment.

Minor League Baseball (Ages 9 – 11)

Managers and coaches continue teaching basic baseball fundamentals and teamwork This team will be an 9-11 year-old ability based team, players will be required and will be evaluated at a tryout in late winter/early spring The teams will play at least 2-3 games a week with league assigned unpatched umpires Virtually all standard baseball rules are adhered to with some limitations. Games played on standard sixty foot base paths – standard little league dimensions. Teams bat in a continuous order, batting until three outs. Players pitch to other teams. Pitching limitations apply. At the end of the year the team with the best record will be crowned regular season champion, each team will qualify for the playoffs with one team being crowned champion Each player will receive a uniform shirt and colored socks Each player is expected to have their own bat, glove.. Metal cleats are NOT ALLOWED IN THIS DIVISION

Minor Softball

MINOR GIRLS SOFTBALL DIVISION There will be 3-6 teams. These teams will comprise the Minor division. Each girl will receive a uniform (shirt and colored socks) At the end of the year the team with the best record will be crowned regular season champion, each team will qualify for the playoffs with one team being crowned champion. The teams will play at least 2 games a week but possibly more. This team will be an 7-10 year-old ability based team, players will be evaluated at a tryout in late winter/early spring and picked by the managers of the major league.
