The Boston Shamrocks’ focus on player development and a positive experience prepares young women for future success on and off the ice. The Boston Shamrocks is an all-girl youth hockey program that emphasizes player development and a positive experience. Their goal is to create well-rounded individuals who are prepared for a successful future. The Shamrocks play in the Junior Women's Hockey League (JWHL), which is on college campuses, and in some of the best tournaments in the United States and Canada. This gives the players the opportunity to gain maximum exposure to college and national team coaches. The team has a consistent schedule of practices and utilizes classroom and video sessions to ensure a thorough understanding of positional and team tactics. In the locker room, the players are expected to demonstrate leadership, responsibility, respect, and sportsmanship. This helps to create a positive atmosphere and prepare the young women for success both on and off the ice. The Boston Shamrocks strive to provide a complete hockey experience that helps young women develop into well-rounded individuals. The program emphasizes both on-ice skills and off-ice qualities, and helps the players gain maximum exposure to college and national team coaches. The team's focus on player development and a positive experience prepares the players for a successful future.

Boston Shamrocks

The Boston Shamrocks players have access to ice at the team’s home rink, Ristuccia Arena, during the day. This allows Shamrocks players to work on specific skating, shooting, stick handling, and goaltending techniques, or affords them time to be creative, or just have some extra fun. Advanced development requires more than ice time. For strength and conditioning the team members have full access to the Boston Bruins former weight room, including a sauna and outdoor track. All home games and practices are held at Ristuccia Arena, the NHL Boston Bruins’ former Practice and Training facility in Wilmington, Massachusetts. The Shamrocks have their own dedicated locker room with individual stalls for each player. The arena features study areas, a players’ lounge with big screen tv, as well as a full service pro shop with state of the art skate sharpening and profiling equipment. The Boston Shamrocks provide home and away jerseys and socks, helmets, as well as gloves, shells, bags, warm-up suits, and a selection of team attire. Transportation to away games is via the team’s Coach bus! Lodging and two meals on away trips are also provided by the team.

Boston Junior Shamrocks

The Boston Jr. Shamrocks are an all girl youth hockey program focusing on player development and a positive experience in order to develop well-rounded individuals who are prepared for future careers on and off the ice. The Boston Jr. Shamrocks offer exciting and competitive teams while developing each players talent and skills in a fun and enjoyable environment with knowledgeable and dedicated professional coaches. Additionally the Jr Shamrocks play a half season schedule in the ESGHL to get its players ready for their respective High School seasons.
