About Erin Rae’s School of Dance

Erin Rae’s School of Dance has been a dream come true for Erin McNamara. Since opening the doors sixteen years ago, the studio has grown to include four studios with sprung dance floors, marly flooring, a complete remote learning set up, and video monitors that can be observed from two spacious waiting areas. Our instructors are carefully screened and well-trained in a variety of disciplines, including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, modern, lyrical, and acro dance. We offer programs for boys and girls from the age of two and up. At Erin Rae’s, children can learn to experience the joy of dance in a safe and nurturing environment.

Programs

The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.

Preschool I

Ages 2-3: A 30-minute introductory ballet dance class with basic terminology and simple routines in song and dance. Dance-related games are used for stretching, rhythm, and coordination. Dancers explore their independence by attending class without parental assistance

Poppin' Preschool

Ages 4-5: A 30-minute class introducing the basic steps of hip hop in an age-appropriate manner. This is a fun class with a dash of jazz, hip hop, and swag for your tiny dancers to become comfortable and confident on the dance floor.

Modern

Ages 10+: This dance style focuses on natural body movement with an increased focus on personal interpretation and self-expression. Dancers will also become familiar with improvisation - creating movement on the spot without prior planning or choreography. Modern instruction emphasizes a whole body, anatomical approach to dance that includes flexibility, strength, coordination, and body and spatial awareness to enable unrestricted, dramatic freedom of expression.
