About Town of Westminster Parks & Recreation Dept

The Town of Westminster is a unique rural community located in the rolling hills of north/central Massachusetts. It is only fifty-three miles northwest of Boston and twenty-four miles north of Worcester. With a total size of 37.3 square miles, Westminster is bordered by the cities of Fitchburg and Leominster to the east and Gardner to the west. To the south lie the towns of Hubbardston and Princeton. To the north lies the rural community of Ashburnham, with whom Westminster shares a regional school system, K-12. The town of Westminster is home to the largest Monadnock, or stand-alone, mountain east of the Berkshires, Wachusett Mountain, which is located just over the town line to the south in Princeton. Its northern slope covers considerable acreage within the Town of Westminster, and the base lodge for Wachusett Mountain Ski Area is located within the bounds of town. The center of Westminster has the character of a small New England village, located along a ridge. The Town of Westminster is a picturesque rural community with stunning rolling hills. Its close proximity to Boston and Worcester make it a great place to call home. With beautiful views of the Monadnock mountain, Wachusett Mountain Ski Area, and the small New England village of Westminster, it is a great place to explore and enjoy. With an ever-increasing amount of students taking an interest in technology, we provide tech clubs to empower them and allow them to understand how and why things work. Building technical and creative confidence, the club equips children with the ability to solve real-world problems on their own.
