About Tenacre Day Camp

Welcome to our camp in Wellesley! We are dedicated to providing a quality, supportive environment for your child. Our experienced and caring staff ensures that each child feels welcome and accepted in our nurturing environment. Our camp was founded in 1973 and the foundation of our success has been the quality of our staff, a supportive and nurturing environment, and a welcoming place where each child belongs. At our camp, we strive to foster individual accomplishments and self-esteem, while providing a safe, noncompetitive setting. We hope you and your family will join us this season!

THE THREES
Age: 3 years old Tenacre Day Camp offers the best first camp experience for your child in an exciting, nurturing program specifically for this unique preschool age! This program is for children 3 years of age and toilet trained by the start of camp. Children utilize our elementary school facility, playgrounds, and pools.

LOWER CAMP: ENTERING K - 1ST GRADE
The Lower Camp offers a well-rounded experience in a nurturing and non-competitive environment. This age group introduces exciting activities such as archery and low ropes courses. Children have a swim lesson in the morning and recreational swim time in the afternoon.

UPPER CAMP: ENTERING 2ND - 6TH GRADE
As children progress from lower camp to upper camp, choice activities become a part of their program. We put daily opportunities into the schedule that allow the children in Upper Camp to spend extra time in activities that they find the most exciting and to spend more time with campers of similar interests. Choices may include science experiments, art, yoga, friendship bracelets, dance, gaga ball, hand sewing projects, board games, indoor tennis, ultimate frisbee, Newcomb, capture the flag, and more! In addition, when the schedule allows, the oldest campers have a Big Buddy activity with our 4-year-olds.
