About Russian School of Mathematics - Wellesley

RSM is an innovative after-school education program for children in kindergarten through grade 12 that provides top-notch instruction in mathematics. It began as a collaboration between a dedicated parent and an experienced teacher, and has since become a movement. This program began two decades ago, when the first class was held at Ms. Rifkin’s kitchen table in Boston, Massachusetts. Now, the grandchildren of RSM's founders, as well as the children of its alumni and educators, are enrolled as students. Our commitment to providing the highest quality education means that RSM remains a family-oriented business. We don’t franchise, and only open locations when we find a talented and knowledgeable teacher to lead them. At present, RSM serves more than 50,000 students throughout North America, and has been featured in the Boston Globe, TED, NPR, and the Atlantic.

Summer math program

Our courses will serve students no matter their goal for the summer and upcoming school year. Students in grades K - 12 can choose from a variety of math courses including those that will reinforce their knowledge and prepare them for the upcoming school year or math competition courses that will provide them with additional challenge. Test prep courses including SAT I, ISEE, and more are also available. Both online (taught in a live, interactive, virtual classroom setting), and in-person classes may be available.

Math Competition Preparation at RSM

In addition to our core program, the competition track is designed for students interested in advanced mathematical topics as well as participating in elite math competitions

High school

Our high school program builds on the foundation laid in years before to further deepen our students' knowledge of advanced algebraic and geometric concepts as well as calculus. We also ensure our students are well prepared for university entrance exams, APs, and math competitions.

Elementary (K-2)

Spark an early interest in mathematics and lay the groundwork for advanced reasoning.

Elementary (3-5)

Build powerful thinking skills and an appetite for challenge while laying a strong mathematical foundation

Middle School

Advanced algebra and geometry instruction that prepares students to succeed.
