About Wayland Creative Preschool

Our experienced teachers and administrators are dedicated to helping children develop the skills they need to become lifelong learners. At Wayland Creative Preschool, we provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere for young children to explore and grow. Our full and half day programs offer a developmentally appropriate curriculum that emphasizes music and creative arts, while also providing plenty of opportunities for science, nature, literacy, and math exploration. With over 50 years of experience, our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to helping children build the skills necessary to become lifelong learners.

Preschool
Across all of our classes, we provide a developmentally appropriate program with a combination of structured time and free choice/play time. We emphasize music and the creative arts as well as science activities, story time, block play, sand and water exploration, puzzles, and much more. Age appropriate activities include a wide range of art experiences, dramatic and imaginary play, playing instruments and singing in large and small groups, creative movement (which includes mime and yoga activities), building with materials like LEGOs, and engaging in one on one focused work with teachers. Through these activities, children practice small and large motor skills and develop reasoning, language, socialization, and decision-making abilities.
