About Beehive Art

Kim Poler and Marc Albanese have been teaching children about the power of art for over 30 years. Through their company, Beehive Art, they offer a range of art programs for kids that encourage exploration, experimentation, and expression. In their studio, children learn techniques, materials, and mediums while having fun and developing their creative problem-solving skills. Kim and Marc believe that the creative process can be stimulating and inspiring for children, and that art is a great way to help kids express themselves and learn more about the world around them.

MIXED MEDIA

Our Mixed media class is the foundation of beehive ART! This is the class where we share and explore multiple ART techniques using a variety of exciting and fun ART materials – including watercolor, oil pastel, paint, photo, print and pattern collage, 3-D sculpture, book making, printmaking, mobiles, installations, design, sewing and textiles.

ART TECHNIQUES

This is a foundational introduction to basic art skills for kids to improve and progress their art creating abilities. We’ll share tricks learned from years of illustrating, designing and making art and how to get the most out of simple mediums and basic art techniques. Suggested for kids 8 and up or for younger students who are focused and interested.

Mini MAKERS

We will explore a variety of techniques and mediums – painting, printing, mixed media collage, color, sculpture and exciting hands on sensory activities. We focus on the process, the materials, and the experience. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
