About Waltham Fields Community Farm

At Waltham Fields Community Farm, we believe that sustainable and equitable relationships between people, their food supply, and the land from which it grows are essential. That's why we strive to cultivate these relationships through our work at the farm. Our community is made up of so many different people, from our CSA shareholders, to the members and donors who support us, to those who participate in our educational programs and offer their time and talents. We also benefit from a strong network of groups who collaborate with us to support our common goals. We understand that a healthy and vibrant community is the cornerstone of a secure food system. That's why we are committed to promoting healthy, equitable, and sustainable relationships between our community and the land. We know that when these relationships are strong, everyone benefits.

Learning Garden Programs

Short-session, small-group programs are designed for safety, togetherness through shared experiences, and family-friendly learning. We hope you will find something that fits your comfort level from a selection of on-site, online, and hybrid learning programs. WFCF offers multiple session, on-farm programs in the Learning Garden winter, spring, summer, and fall.

Field Trips & Farm Visits

Field Trips, Farm Visits, and Farm-to-School (classroom) Visits combine farm exploration, interactive discussion, and hands-on agricultural activities to create a unique experience that addresses school curriculum content while making important farm-to-table connections. Interdisciplinary programs are designed for flexibility to fit with a variety of content, and change with the seasons and daily rhythms of the Farm.

Teen Corps

Through collaborative planning and implementation, teens take a leadership role in the Learning Garden on the farm - in winter, spring summer and fall! This special program designed just for teens encourages learning through shared experiences in agriculture, culinary arts, animal care, garden management, and explorations in food system equity and accessibility.
