About Cambridge Center For Chinese Culture

The Cambridge Center for Chinese Culture(CCCC) is a non-profit organization registered in Massachusetts, USA, by Chinese scholars. It aims at promoting Chinese culture, advance the status of Chinese-Americans, and promoting US-China. relations through Chinese language education, publication, and cultural exchange. The Cambridge Chinese School, a subsidiary of the CCCC, is devoted to Chinese language teaching. Established in 1991, the Cambridge Chinese School is the first school on the east coast for teaching elementary, middle, and high school students standard Chinese pronunciation, simplified characters, and Chinese phonetic alphabet. With the help from the City of Cambridge and through years of hard work by teachers and staff members, the Cambridge Chinese School has evolved from a small after-school class with one teacher and seven students to a regular educational institution of a dozen teachers and one thousand students.

After-School Program
Students learn standard Chinese pronunciation and phonetic alphabet (Pinyin), strokes of Chinese characters, rules and order of strokes, commonly used structural parts and radicals of Chinese characters, and word forms and structures. Students will develop basic skills to recognize Chinese characters and build a certain amount of vocabulary, they will learn to read simple picture books.

Weekend School Program
CCCC Chinese Weekend School opens every weekend during the upcoming fall and spring semesters, excluding holidays. We accept students who are 4 1/2 and up. The school program focuses on teaching the Chinese language, Chinese culture, Math, Drawing, Dance, Music, Performance, and a lot more. This year, we have added Math Kangaroo, Math SAT I, Math AP Calculus BC, conversational Chinese, and preschool fast learn Chinese.
