About Steward Station

At Parents Magazine, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to benefit from a safe, accessible and affordable program. That's why we are proud to present our community based enrichment program. This program is designed to meet the social, academic, emotional and physical needs of children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Activities include arts & crafts, sports, games, nature study, science, and quiet time, allowing children to have fun and learn at the same time. Our program is intended to be a supplement to the traditional home and school environment, not a replacement.

BEFORE SCHOOL PROGRAM
Children may arrive at Steward Station Monday through Friday as early as 7:00AM and are offered a variety of age appropriate activities. Four, five and six grade children will be escorted to Bus #25 at 8:25AM to travel to Proctor School. At 8:30AM kindergarten, first, second and third grade children will be escorted to their designated areas to join their classes.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Kindergarten, first, second and third grade children are dismissed directly to Steward Station from their classrooms at 3:05PM. Four, five and six grade children from Proctor School will take Bus #25 to Steward School to attend Steward Station. We have both outdoor and indoor recess depending on the weather. There is plenty of opportunity for playing games, using centers, creating a craft, etc. We provide homework time for those children who need it. Seasonal and special activities keep our program new and interesting for all participants.
