At HCS Head Start Inc., we understand the importance of strong foundations in early childhood education. That’s why, since 1965, we’ve been dedicated to providing high-quality services to children and families in Western Massachusetts. Our services are available in Brimfield, Chicopee, East Longmeadow, Granby (Shared with Community Action), Hampden, Holland, Holyoke, Indian Orchard, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Monson, Palmer, South Hadley (Shared with Community Action), Springfield, Three Rivers, Wales, and Wilbraham.

Head Start Children’s Programs
HCS Head Start provides a variety of program options for children from 0-5 years of age. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of families and children, and include full and part-day classes.
Early Head Start
Early Head Start serves pregnant moms, and children birth to 2.9 years old, in a home based or center based model. The goals of EHS are to promote healthy prenatal outcomes, promote healthy family functioning, and strengthen the overall development of infants and toddlers.
Head Start
Head Start promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of preschool children ages 2.9 – 5 years old, through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families.
