This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. For over 90 years, South Shore YMCA Camp Burgess & Hayward has been a leader in Massachusetts camping. Located just one hour south of Boston in Sandwich, Massachusetts, the camps are situated on 300 acres of lush forests, meadows, and freshwater ponds. Camp Burgess offers one and two-week sessions for boys ages 7 to 16. Campers will enjoy a variety of activities such as exploring the property, going on adventures, participating in the ropes course and climbing tower, learning outdoor living skills, building projects, and playing games on the courts and fields. Camp Hayward provides one and two-week sessions for girls ages 7 to 16. Here, girls gain independence and build community while developing self-confidence and self-respect.
